Today I found out I won an eBay auction for the site allmylifeforsale.net. The idea is to continue the social experiment by selling "all my life" on eBay. Since I haven't taken control of the site -- I'm not sure when and/or how that's going to work just yet -- go ahead and get familiar with what's going on by visiting the .net site, or checking out what John Freyer, the originator of the project, did at allmylifeforsale.com.
Stay tuned. I soon will be making a plan to go through all of my belongings, photograph them and catalogue their stories. Then they'll be up for grabs on eBay.

What's AMLFS all about?
All My Life for Sale is an idea that originated with John Freyer, who sold everything he owned on eBay and later visited the people who bought his items. The project was followed up by Brian Thompson, who also sold his belongings on the auction Web site.
The third version of All My Life for Sale includes the sale of items owned by Reed Dunn, a 30-year-old looking to find the true value of the things he has collected through the years. He hopes to simplify his life by reducing the clutter and boxes of things he has carried with him from state to state as he has advanced in his career.
Reed's goal is to start fresh with only the true necessities of life, meanwhile saying goodbye to a lifestyle filled with material possessions that just end up in boxes stored away in the hall closet.
